Military, Veteran and Family Resource Links

Department of Veterans Affairs

Here is how it is supposed to work: The Department of Defense notifies the VA as service members are released from active duty. Subsequently, the VA sends a letter to the veteran with information about VA benefits and assistance to aid transition to civilian life.

Is it possible that you received the letter, but tossed it because you simply wanted to get back to your life in the real world? At that time, going to the VA was likely not on your "things to do" list. What if the letter was delivered to an incorrect address, your parents house, perhaps?

Flash forward to now. What if you are now struggling with painful events in your life - perhaps you are experiencing readjustment or health-related issues - and you need some help.

It is not too late to reach out for assistance from the VA. These toll-free numbers can help you to connect to resources you are entitled to. Below are all sorts of links to VA and other government programs. Please make that call.

News:

On August 2, 2010, President Obama announced the “Blue Button” capability that allows Veterans to download their personal health information from their MyHealtheVet account. VA developed the Blue Button in collaboration with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and the Department of Defense, along with the Markle Foundation's Consumer Engagement Workgroup.
